For nearly five decades, Santa Fe has been one of our most recognizable and trusted collections - carried through airports, across cities, into offices, and on countless journeys around the world. But as the years went on, we began hearing the same feedback from many of you.
You loved Santa Fe’s durability, you trusted its craftsmanship, but you also saw opportunities to make it even better.

Rather than making small adjustments, we chose to step back and rethink the entire collection.
After taking a step back and rethinking nearly every detail, we’re proud to introduce Santa Fe: Reimagined - a complete redesign of our most iconic collection. Every piece has been rebuilt from the inside out with improved materials, modernized hardware, refined construction, and thoughtful design updates that make the collection better suited for the way people travel and carry today.

Weight Matters
When people shop for leather travel goods, weight is often the hidden factor that determines whether a bag becomes a favorite or something left at home.
A briefcase or backpack may feel substantial in the store, but once it’s filled with a laptop, charger, documents, and travel essentials, that extra weight adds up quickly.
The same is true for luggage. Every pound matters when you're navigating airports, checking luggage, walking through cities, or carrying your bag throughout the day.
That reality became the guiding principle behind the redesign of Santa Fe.
Our goal was simple but ambitious:
Reduce weight dramatically while preserving the strength, structure, and character that Santa Fe is known for.
By rethinking the way Santa Fe is built, investing in new materials and subtle redesigns, many pieces are now up to 50% lighter than their previous generations.
The difference is immediately noticeable the moment you pick one up.
A New Vaqueta Leather
One of the most important breakthroughs in the redesign came through the development of a new vaqueta leather.
Vaqueta has long been known for its strength, character, and natural aging process. It’s a leather that tells a story over time, developing a patina that reflects the journeys it’s taken.
But traditional vaqueta can also be heavy. For Santa Fe: Reimagined, we developed a new version that maintains the durability and beauty of classic vaqueta while delivering a noticeably softer feel and lighter carry.
The leather now feels broken in from day 1, feels more natural from the very first use, and contributes significantly to the overall weight reduction across the collection.
It’s the leather our customers were asking for and we’re proud to finally introduce it.
Redesigned From the Inside Out
The redesign of Santa Fe went far beyond leather.
Every piece in the collection was carefully reexamined and rebuilt with modern travel and everyday use in mind.
Some silhouettes were refined to create cleaner, more contemporary styles while improving functionality. Internal layouts were updated to better accommodate modern essentials like laptops, tablets, tech accessories, water bottles and personal items you might carry.
Even the structure of many bags was reengineered to remove unnecessary bulk while maintaining strength and durability.
The result is a collection that feels more streamlined, more comfortable to carry, and better suited to the way people move today.
Modernized Hardware
As part of the Santa Fe redesign, the hardware received the same careful attention as the leather and construction.
Every piece has been updated with modernized hardware crafted from high-strength Zamac, a durable alloy known for its strength, precision casting, and ability to hold a refined finish. The updated shapes bring cleaner lines and a more contemporary look to the collection, while maintaining the reliability required for everyday travel and daily use.
It’s a detail many people may not immediately notice—but one that plays an important role in how a bag performs over time.

Smoother Zippers, Better Details
Some of the most appreciated improvements are the ones you notice through everyday use.
Zippers throughout the Santa Fe Collection have been upgraded to run smoother and quieter, making them easier to open and close whether you're rushing through security or simply reaching for something in your bag. On travel styles where security matters most, the zipper heads are also designed to work with a separate TSA-approved lock, allowing you to secure your belongings while traveling.
Travel items have also been redesigned to carry more comfortably, helping reduce fatigue over longer periods of use. These may seem like small refinements on their own but together they make a noticeable difference in how the bag feels and performs day after day.
