However, some reported sizing inconsistencies with measurements not matching advertised dimensions, and concerns about leather being "thin" or "flimsy" compared to expectations.
I am a student and I ordered Brooklyn Backpack for my international exchange student trip. The order arrived few hours before my flight. The measurement for the item as advertised was 13¾" (L) x 18¾" (H) x 8" (D) and I measurements which I received were 14 x 12.25 x 4.75 which were way off. I think they fell short of some leather. I contacted the team and they were totally ineffective in addressing the issue. All they care about is when will I return the item. I told him multiple times I have flight in few hours he still dared to ask if I can drop off the item at UPS store today. Not even a courtesy to say that we have screwed it up, why don't we schedule a pick from your apartment. I am a student with little means and saved for buying this bag. Now, I need to carry the charge for no reason for next 60 days till I get back and still need to buy overpriced thing at airport or just reorganize my already packed luggage. Thank you for giving such a traumatic experience. I suggest keep away from this brand as you might end up getting duped.
Kushagra, as we have did numerous times in our original convo, we want to apologize for our error and the inconvenience our mistake caused you. We did unfortunately have the measurements noted incorrectly and have quickly rectified that issue to keep this from happening again. We understand how unacceptable this was and the situation it put you in which is why we extended our return period to 60+ days to allow you to return the item once you arrived safely from your trip. Unfortunately, your solution of getting a full refund and not returning the item until you returned is not something we could realistically offer, as much as we would want to, which is why you were asked if you were able to drop it off today to facilitate the immediate refund you were requesting. All in all, this was 100% our mistake and will gladly cover the return shipping costs once you do return from your trip whenever that might be. We apologize again for our mix up and hope you have a safe and fun trip. We hope you give us the chance again to make this right in the future. All the best!

I ordered this bag and it has so many compartments and it is lightweight and stylish my 22 year old daughter wants one who says I always have grandma bags. I love and would recommend a Brooklyn bag to anyone!!!

Honestly your website was not true to me. I'm 5foot 3 inches. This bag when it arrived was enormous for my size. Also packaging 📦 it arrived with one strip of tape around the entire box. Thus, crushed in the middle when it arrived. Including the leather, extremely thin. I'm sure you've sold orders to satisfied customers. Just not me. Your product it's a git for me.
Hi Sandy! Sorry your backpack is too large for you. We understand we have customers of different heights so that's why each item has its measurements listed to make sure you know exactly the size you are receiving. This happens to be one of our smaller backpacks and sells very well for women. Regarding the packaging, that's the first time we hear that feedback so we've gone ahead and made adjustments to include more packaging tape on the box for additional security. I’ve just used my new backpack on my first trip. It was comfortable to wear and looks beautiful. I am disappointed it doesn’t have the patterned Land lining but I still love it.

I love the quality leather and the colour v of my Brooklyn Backpack.
As a loyal Land customer of at least 25 years and being familiar with the Santa Fe quality, I decided to purchase this back pack. The design and functionality are the redeeming features of this bag. I was surprised at the flimsiness of the bag. Possibly the processes for curing leather have changed and in an effort to provide a lighter bag as the Santa Fe collection was always quite heavy . This bag though , is not the high quality leather that I expect from the Land brand, there isn’t even the familiar leather smell, the hardware is lightweight and I don’t believe it will stand the test of time. Very unfortunate and disappointing.
Hi Trudy! Thanks for your feedback! We do continue to use the same high quality full & top grain leathers that we have used for over 50 years. Occasionally we do skive the leather differently depending on the style; some styles require a thicker hide and some require thinner. Our hardware is also the same that we have always used on our Santa Fe Collection so I am confident it will hold up to the test of time. It's worth noting this specific style does not have a lot of hardware compared to our other Santa Fe items. If there is anything else we can help you with, please do let us know!
I brought this backpack specifically for work. In a big girl, 6ft, 320lbs and this fits well with my body frame and holds all my necessities. The only thing i regret is not being able to purchase the tan color at the same time. Im saving for it though! Excellent quality having a soft leather touch, just as good as the overly expensive fashion brands!
What else is left for me to say about these amazing products? Nothing but worth every penny, so in love with all my Land items.
