Our guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship under responsible use. It does not cover normal wear, accidental damage, or misuse.

Every LAND piece is crafted from 100% authentic full-grain leather; a material chosen not only for its strength and durability, but for the way it lives and evolves over time. You may notice natural markings, subtle creases, color variations, or small scars. These are not imperfections. They are reminders that your leather is real and was shaped by nature long before it was shaped by our hands. We believe those characteristics tell the story of your piece and the life it carries with you. If your item ever falls short of our standard of craftsmanship, we want to make it right.

To begin a warranty claim, simply register your item, complete our repair form, and send it to our U.S. office. Customers cover shipping to us, and we cover return shipping within the United States. Pre-paid labels for purchase may be available in certain cases.

For quality control, repairs are handled by the same artisans in Colombia who originally crafted your piece. The hands that built it are the hands that restore it. Because our repairs are completed by our Colombian craftsmen and women, please allow approximately 6-8 weeks for completion. We believe craftsmanship is worth the time.

If your item falls outside the terms of our lifetime guarantee, we are still honored to help extend its life. Repairs begin at a fixed cost of $40.

Every repair includes complimentary cleaning and conditioning — a small gesture of care from us to you.

Guarantee Terms

Lifetime Guarantee

Our Lifetime Guarantee protects against defects in leather, metal hardware, and workmanship under responsible use. If a claim is approved, we will repair or replace the item at no charge, excluding applicable shipping.

Please note: this guarantee does not extend to footwear, hats, jewelry, home & office goods, or phone cases and accessories.

1 Year Guarantee

Our 1-Year Guarantee protects against defects in materials and workmanship for all footwear and trolley/wheel systems under responsible use.

Exclusions and Limitations

The following are not considered manufacturing defects and are therefore not covered under our guarantee. Repair services may still be available for an associated fee.

Normal Wear & Tear Characteristics

  • Worn corners or edges
  • Softening of leather over time
  • Natural wrinkles or creasing
  • Expected fading or darkening
  • Dye transfer
  • Stains or spills
  • Stretching from regular use
  • Damage from ongoing friction
  • Linings or zippers worn through daily use
  • Improper conditioning, oiling, or cleaning

Full-grain leather is designed to age. Patina and natural evolution are not defects — they are part of its character.

Damage from Misuse or External Causes

  • Damaged locks from improper use or tampering
  • Airline or third-party damage
  • Loss or theft
  • Intentional damage
  • Gashes, scratches, rips, or tears
  • Exposure to harsh chemicals
  • Third-party alterations or repairs
  • Animal damage, fire or weather related damage

  • Product registration is required for all warranty and non-warranty work.
  • Claims are reviewed and assessed on a case-by-case basis and are subject to applicable conditions and exclusions. 
  • Customer is responsible for shipping costs to our Miami offices for any repair work; warranty approved or not. Outside of the United States, the customer is responsible for shipping costs to and from our Miami offices.
  • When shipping, please use a trackable carrier and request an insurance policy equal to the value of your leather good.
  • LAND Leather Goods is not responsible for missing packages or COD.
  • The customer will be made aware of any costs associated with repairing their item and will be billed before work is begun.
  • Depending on the nature of the repair, we reserve the right to send the customer a "Do It At Home" repair kit to be fixed by them. Instructions will be provided.
  • Delivery will be refused on packages received without approval.
  • Please note that we have the right to refuse and return dirty or soiled items that might pose a health risk to our team. Any item being sent in for work must be cleaned out as we are not responsible for any missing or misplaced personal belongings.
  • Should your item be unable to be repaired, replacement merchandise will be given in exchange at equal or lesser value of original items.
  • Any and all warranty work must be completed by LAND Leather. Any third party repair work voids our Limited Lifetime Guarantee.
  • By purchasing products from LAND Leather Goods you agree to the terms of our Limited Lifetime Guarantee. LAND Leather Goods reserves to right to alter, edit or cancel our Guarantee without notice. 
Your Responsibility

Because leather is a natural material, our Lifetime Guarantee does not cover normal wear from daily use. With proper care, however, the foundation of your LAND piece is built to endure years of travel, work, and life — and to be passed on when the time comes.

Full-grain leather rewards attention. Treat it well, and it will age beautifully.

Avoid machine washing or harsh cleaning agents such as alcohol, turpentine, or mineral spirits, as these can permanently damage the leather. Store your LAND goods in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which may cause fading or drying. If your item becomes wet, gently blot excess moisture and allow it to air dry naturally.

Leather should be periodically conditioned to maintain its strength and suppleness — especially in dry climates. Properly maintained vegetable-tanned leather should feel smooth and slightly nourished to the touch. Like skin, it requires care to prevent drying over time.

Our Leathers

We source some of the highest-grade Colombian leather available — primarily full-grain and vegetable-tanned. This traditional tanning process preserves the hide’s natural character, allowing each piece to remain distinct, with subtle variations that make it uniquely yours.

No two hides are ever identical — and we believe that individuality is part of its beauty.

Humidity & Dye Transfer

In extremely humid or damp conditions, natural leather may occasionally release a small amount of dye — similar to how raw denim can transfer color onto lighter fabrics. While uncommon, this is a characteristic of authentic, minimally treated leather and not considered a defect.

For this reason, dye transfer and any resulting damage to personal belongings are not covered under our Lifetime Guarantee.

Care & Conditioning

To preserve the richness and longevity of your leather, we recommend conditioning every 4–6 months, depending on use and climate.

Apply a small amount of our LAND Leather Cleaner & Conditioner with a soft cloth and allow the leather to rest in a cool, dry environment before use.

Well-maintained vegetable-tanned leather should feel supple and nourished to the touch, and will continue to age beautifully for years to come.

Repair & Service Terms

Product registration is required for all warranty and non-warranty repairs.

All claims are reviewed individually and are subject to the conditions outlined in this policy.

Customers are responsible for shipping costs to our Miami office for all repair work — whether warranty-approved or not. International customers are responsible for shipping both to and from our Miami office. Prepaid labels are available to purchase for US customers.

When shipping your item, please use a trackable carrier and insure the package for its full value. LAND Leather is not responsible for lost shipments or COD packages.

Customers will be notified of any repair costs before work begins.

Depending on the repair, we may provide a “Do-It-At-Home” repair kit with instructions.

Packages received without prior approval will be refused.

For the safety of our team, we reserve the right to refuse or return excessively dirty or soiled items. All products must be emptied prior to shipment. LAND Leather is not responsible for missing personal belongings.

If an item cannot be repaired, a replacement of equal or lesser value may be provided.

All warranty repairs must be completed by LAND Leather. Third-party repairs void our Limited Lifetime Guarantee.
